Hi friends and followers!
Its Magnolia Down Under challenges time again! WHOOOOOOOT WHOOOOOOOOOT!
And you know every once in a while you come across those challenges that just seem to..challenge you a little more. They take you outside your comfort zone and have your brain working overtime..;) lol!
This one was such a challenge for me.We want to see you create with a colorcombo this week - namely PINK and LIME. To be honest Ive used a green and pink colorcombi a dussin times before but since Im a shabby girly I tend to stay away from those really bright colors. And with lime..there doesnt seem to be a good solution to an escape ;) BUT! I ended up making three cards, this is my third attempt and Im actually pretty happy about the outcome. So watch out, I might use it again ;)
I have been asked a few times about the frame die around Tilda. Its a Memory Box die frame and I absolutely treasure it! I dont think it matters very much that it takes some images out a bit aroud the edges. I think the Tilda is vivible anyways. The papers are way....old. ha, ha, ha!
The one with little prince charming frog is from Magnolia and the lime one is part of a 6*6 paper pad from Prima that was released years ago called Fairy Flora. Sometimes its a good thing to dig into the old stuff ;) The border lace punch is from Martha Stewart and Tilda has been colored with my di´s. I also have to let you in on the amazing corner adornments. They are from Make it crafty and is in chipboard. I love those! I painted them a tad bit with my di crackle paint Picket fence to make them white and simply added a little pearl.
We have had such an amazing time in the DT group about this, we were a couple that struggled a wee bit (I wont mention anybody though ;) lol!) and we have been uploading our cards for feedback all week long. And Im still sooooo proud to be part of this amazing group of AWESOME talants. I was just blown away by the stunning cards my teamies have created. So...without further adue I will encourage you all to hop over to the challenge blog and be astounded! If we havent managed to get you intruiged about this colorcombo then no one can ;) I cant wait to see your interpretations and hop along in your blogs to see what you come up with.
Thanks so much for looking today
Lots of love
